Hello, This is Daffa writing about my trip experience again. So for those who read this, I am going to tell you about My trip to Singapore for three days back in January 2020 (2 Months before the Pandemic because of the virus). I hope by reading this, you know about the places you can visit and food you can eat in Singapore as your references when you get there. I hope you enjoy reading this writing.

So I went to Singapore on 5th January 2020 for 3 days. I think going to Singapore for 3 days is enough unless you have a lot of places you want to visit. But, I will tell you the places I visited during my 3 days in Singapore and you will not regret visiting these places.

1st DAY

Changi Airport

The first day I arrived at Changi International Airport which is Singapore International Airport and the place is quite huge because there are many Department stores, restaurants, and children’s playgrounds. I suggest you should stay at the airport a little longer to play and take photos as there are also perfect views for taking pictures. One of the famous of Changi Airport is the Waterfall. Yes, there is a waterfall inside the airport which is a rare thing compared to international airports in Indonesia. Unfortunately, when I got there the Waterfall was under construction so I only took photos of places like in Fig 1. Hopefully, when you go to Singapore you will see the waterfall and if you have children maybe you can play in the playground area at the airport.

Sultan Mosque

The Sultan Mosque or also known as “Masjid Sultan” is a mosque in the Kampong Glam area which is famous for its Golden Dome and was built under the name of Sultan Hussain Shah. I visited there because the place is close to where I stay and I think this is one of the Interesting Mosques to visit especially when you are in Singapore.

Marina Bay Area

In the afternoon I visited Marina Bay, especially around the Marina Bay Sands area. The reason I went to this area at night is because I wanted to see the beautiful colorful Light & Water Show at the Marina Bay Waterfront called “SPECTRA”. The show is amazing and I never thought I would be impressed with such a show because it was unique for me to see it. I also visited the Marina Bay Mall and Marina Bay Sands area but I just passed by because I didn’t know what I was doing there for a long time. The following is a video of the Marina Bay area and the SPECTRA Show, I hope you are interested in visiting there but sorry for the watermark :).

2nd Day

Universal Studio Singapore

On the morning of January 6, 2020, I went to Universal Studio Singapore. I visited there because I like the theme park. After all, it is a good place to relax and have fun. Once there, be sure to try the Battlestar Galactica dueling coasters , which has two types of coasters, the Human type and the Cyclone type. I suggest you try the Cyclone type because it is quite challenging to drive it. There’s also Transformers: The Ride 3D where you can shoot aliens (Decepticons) with 3D Glasses so they look realistic. Don’t forget to experience 4D Movies and Ride with Shrek 4-D Adventure.. If you’ve seen all of Shrek’s films, you might as well try this ride to get to know a little story about Shrek that was never revealed in the film. On my last activity at Universal Studio, I visited the Minions Store and bought a keychain because I’m a huge Minions fan.

Siloso Beach

After a day at Universal Studios, I visited Siloso Beach in the evening because I wanted to see the sunset. The beaches are white sandy and very clean which is no wonder because Singapore is a strict country which is strict with hygiene issues. I spent there until the sunset came although I only took a picture when the sun wasn’t setting at that time.

3rd Day

Singapore Botanic Garden

Fig 7. Flowers in National Orchid Garden (Taken Using Samsung M30)

Singapore Botanic Garden is the biggest garden (I think) in Singapore and is the first UNESCO Heritage Site in Singapore. You can visit the place for free except the National Orchid Garden it costs $5 Singapore for public and $1 Singapore if you’re a student. I suggest you bring your student card if you want to go to the National Orchid Garden for $1 and it applied to every student whether you’re a student from Singapore School/University or from your country. My first impression is that the place is beautiful with a lot of flowers and it’s a great place to do jogging in the morning. You can also go to picnic with your family and if you visit National Orchid Garden there are many photo spots that you can take pictures there and the place is quite Instagrammable for you to posts your feed from Botanic Garden in Singapore.

Chinatown

Chinatown in Singapore (Located within the Outram District) is quite interesting because there are a lot of Shopping places, Restaurants, Food Stalls, and there’s this temple called Sri Mariamman Temple which is the oldest Hinduism Temple in Singapore. There’s also Masjid Jamae (Jamae Mosque) next to the temple which is a unique mosque in the Chinatown area. I visited there because I want to buy an oil ointment called Tiger Balm which is said to be good for stretching the aches in my body. In Chinatown, there are Michelin Star Restaurants although I only visited one of Michelin Stars who specialized in Hainanese chicken rice. The place is called Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice in Maxwell Food Centre and it said that Chef Gordon Ramsay visited there so I was curious about the taste and It’s delicious. It Only Costs $3 Singapore (for the small plate), and $5 (for the normal plate).

Garden by The Bay

One of the must bucket-list to visit in Singapore is the Gardens by the Bay because this is the best tourist attraction for me. The Gardens by the Bay is a 101 hectare (250 acre) nature park in the Central Region of Singapore which is known for the famous two domes where there are two Conservatories there namely Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. The Flower Dome is the biggest Greenhouse with a lot of variations of flowers and plants around the world (I think) where you can see them in the Flower Dome. The Cloud Forest is known for the big waterfall in the dome and it reminds me of the cool moist conditions found in tropical mountain regions. I also play Virtual Reality about being a tree for $5 Singapore in Cloud Forest. Both the place is quite cool so you don’t have to worry about the heat. you can visit the Supertree Grove where you can see the view from the top of this tree-like tower. I took photos of Marina Bay Sands there and it was quite amazing to see the view until the evening.

Singapore is definitely one of the best places for vacation but since Singapore is one of the most expensive countries (I think) to visit so I suggest you go there only for 3 days. You can use my itinerary places as I tell above as a reference but there are also a lot of interesting places other than my lists that maybe you want to go there instead of my recommendation. I hope whoever reads this can feel entertained and get insights about what places you should visit in Singapore. to anyone reading this hope you can give me a review to write better in the future. Since I publish this writing on 22nd February 2022, so happy birthday to me 🥳🎉🎊.
